Our School

Tyrie School is a rural community school located 6 miles, (10 minute drive), from the fishing town of Fraserburgh; on the north-east coast of Aberdeenshire.

The role of the Primary School is to provide a broad base upon which all future experiences can be built. It is the aim of our school to provide the opportunities for students to make progress in all areas of the Curriculum for Excellence. To this end a variety of teaching methods and a wide range of resources are used to help the pupils become successful learners, responsible citizens, confident individuals and effective contributors.

The school is a large, spacious building which has 4 large teaching areas, a hall, a dining area, library, and two large cloakrooms. The exterior has a large, grassed playing area as well as a tarmac playground and eco-garden.
